My friend recommended this restaurant a few times. So we decided to give it a try.
The Ambiance
We went into the restaurant and it was clean, hygienic, peaceful and seemed to be a nice place to eat. The interior was simple, elegantly designed, making the place captivating and convenient. Although you don’t need to struggle with your posture, their seating arrangements are well-organized.
Food Experience
We ordered one unlimited thali (sweet + farali), 2 cheese masala papad, gol (jaggery) and ghee, 1 paneer Kadai, butter chapatis, 2 buttermilks, and their trademark dish “Rotla nu churmu”. The services offered by them was superb and very cooperative. They don’t keep us waiting for too long, unlike some other restaurants.
The quality of the food was best, delicious, and healthy. We enjoyed the sweets and farali served by them. They were fresh and tasted good. Our butter chapatis were perfectly cooked, it was not too thick or thin, and smelled wholesome. The paneer Kadai was flavourful, looks yummy, and the combination of Kadai masala (ground spices) and other ingredients can’t be described in words.
What we love the most was their trademark dish “Rotla nu Churmu” The recipe was simple yet overpowering. The mixture of ghee and jaggery makes it amazing and mouth-watering. And the taste stays long in the mouth, it does not fade away quickly.
The buttermilk was chilled, refreshing, and sparkling with mint masala on the top.
My overall experience with food was awesome and I also like the quantity they served.
Recommendation
I highly recommend Ankur restaurant for its amazing quality, superb services, appetizing and wonderful food. And if you ever pass by Vastrapur and feel hungry, give it a shot and you will be grateful just like me.
