Me and my other three friends went to this place at around 10 PM on Weekend night. It is near to our house and seems to be a good place to eat so we decided to give it a try.
And the place does not look so crowded either, but we are requested to wait for a minimum of an hour, which doesn’t make any sense to us. But we were hungry and made up our mind to eat food at deep raj de kulche. So, we stick to our plan and didn’t change our plan.
Finally, after waiting around half an hour, their staff told us that our table is ready. So, we finally arrived inside the restaurant.
Let’s talk how it’s look alike
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was eye-catching, delightful, nice, and comfy. The decoration, creativity, and art everything was perfectly organized. And by the way, I like the Indian traditional seating style (low seating or baithak).
Food Experience
We jumped onto the main course and ordered Veg Kadai, Paneer Bhurji, Paneer Kofta, Plain Khulche, Butter Roti, Masala Papad, and ButterMilk.
And to be very honest, I am quite disappointed with the food, it was not as expected. To tell more about my food experience I’ve written my opinion for each one of them with a rating on a scale of 1 to 5.
Masala Papad (2/5)
The papad was not as tangy as it needs to be. And the masala mix on the top was sufficient but not overpowering.
Point To Note: They didn’t wait till we finished with the papad and put the main course dishes on our table. We didn’t expect this.
Butter Roti (1/5)
The roti was not soft at all even before we told them. I don’t know why they did this to us. Maybe it just slips through their mind.
Veg Kadai (1/5)
It lacks flavor and goodness, although the masala and spices used in our veg Kadai did not serve their purpose.
Paneer Kofta (3/5)
It looks creamy and delicious from outside. The kofta was overcooked but the gravy didn’t disappoint us that much.
Plain Khulche and ButterMilk (3/5)
It was not bad, neither exceeded our expectations while the buttermilk was chilled and refreshing as usual, but we couldn’t get enough of it because our other food items were not so good.
How they served
Apart from our food experience, what bothered us the most was their staff. They cannot even cooperate with themselves. For instance, we asked them to bring only 2 buttermilks, but they came with 3 buttermilks, and again after some time, they came with another 3 buttermilks. It was funny though.
Recommendation
By the end of our meal, we thought that it would be better if we had gone to some other places to eat. Well, I hope by my next visit if in case it happens, things would’ve better.
